2003 Santa Cause Project Toy Drive    Nov 30, 2003
The Carolina Hurricanes and KB Homes, spearheaded by Aaron Ward, are collecting toys at the Dec. 3, Dec. 5 and Dec. 18 home games. Unwrapped gifts or cash contributions can be brought to the Deck, located on the north end of RBC Center’s main concourse at the Wednesday, Dec. 3 game vs. Nashville, the Friday, Dec. 5 game vs. Montreal, or the Thursday, Dec. 18 game vs. Montreal.

Due to an upper-body injury, it is doubtful that Aaron Ward will play in tonights game vs the New York Islanders.

Tonight Aaron Ward returned to the ice after missing 7 games with an infection. In his first game back Aaron received his first assist of the season on the Ryan Bayda goal.

'Canes Beat the 'Caps, 3-1    Oct 05, 2003
Aaron Ward had a very physical game against the Washington Capitals last night. Aaron had several major checks during the game including a fight with Mike Grier.

The fight started with a boarding call on Aaron. Grier standing up for his teammate, Alexander Semin, goes after Aaron. Aaron starts by removing Grier's helmet and pulling his jersey over his head. Aaron got in a few punches before taking Grier down. It was a very spirited fight and got the fans going.

Aaron participated in the 7th Annual Kids 'N Community Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, held at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. The Carolina Hurricanes Kids 'N Community Foundation is the Hurricanes’ charity organization dedicated to helping at-risk children and educational programs across North Carolina.

Aaron Ward spent a team-high 34:19 on the ice and a -3 in a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Pre-Season Starts    Sep 19, 2003
Pre-season games run from September 19 to October 4. The Carolina Hurricanes will play the Florida Panthers, Atlanta Thrashers, Tampa Bay Lightening, and the Washington Capitals for a total of 8 game, 3 of which will be played at the RBC Center in Raleigh.

Today I went to the Carolina Hurricane training camp to see how the players are looking for the 2003-04 season.
Aaron looks great. He has worked really hard this summer to keep himself in top shape and is prepared to fight for his position on the roster for the upcomming season.
