The Jimmy V Golf Classic will be held August 24, 2003 at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. The Jimmy V is an annual event to raise money for cancer research.

Tonight Aaron Ward came back unexpectedly to play against the Maple Leafs. Aaron said that he was expected to return to play the Atlanta Thrashers but since Radim Vrbata was very sick he was asked to return a day early. Aaron didn't warm up with the guys and had little time to dress. He took his place on the bench about 2 mins into the game. To top off his surprising return, Aaron got his third goal of the season. Way to go Aaron!

$12,000 was raised for the Tom Stetson Fund. Aaron Ward was behind the bench to help coach the Blueliners who were defeated by the Media All-Stars, 8 to 6.

On Sunday, March 23 at 1:30 p.m. the Tom Stetson Fund Charity Game will be held at the RBC Center. Aaron Ward will be on hand for the game. Since he is injured he will probably be the coach for the media team along with Jeff Daniels.

Updated I talked to Aaron Ward tonight and he said that he will probably miss the rest of the season due to his bruised hip. Aaron, I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you next season!

So it looks like Aaron is not going to be playing tonight against the Boston Bruins. Hopefully the eye will be better for Friday's game.

Updated Aaron was in the line up tonight and played a very physical! Glad to see he is doing well.

Aaron Ward got an assist on the Kevyn Adam's goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Then during the second period he received a high stick to his eye. He was out for the rest of the game. I hope he is ok and that he will be in the line up tomorrow!
